Interpretation

The best professional interpreters for your virtual or in-person events and meetings

What does this involve?

Unlike translation, which involves written material, language interpretation involves orally rendering a message from one language to another. There are two types of interpretation, and various formats.

What do we offer?

We offer two types of interpretation in four formats. We choose the format according to the specific needs of each client. We select the interpreters and the equipment setup, overseeing all aspects of the service from start to finish, ensuring our clients have a seamless experience.

Types of interpretation

The speaker talks in the source language and the interpreter conveys their message into another language at the same time through specialized devices. This type of interpretation is normally used in conferences, seminars, international meetings, and events in which smooth and continuous communication is required.

In this type of interpretation, the speaker and the interpreter take turns speaking. The interpreter listens to the speaker’s speech in segments in the source language, and then conveys each segment into another language when the speaker pauses. It is ideal for press conferences, interviews, and short speeches. It does not require equipment.

Remote

The participants connect to a specialized videoconferencing platform where the meeting takes place, where they can listen to the interpreters’ simultaneous or consecutive interpretation. It is used for virtual events and meetings involving participants who are in different locations.

In person

The participants and interpreters are physically present at the same location. During simultaneous interpretation, the interpreters work in soundproof booths, listening to and conveying the message to participants through individual receivers. During consecutive interpretation, the interpreter works without equipment, and is usually positioned close to the speaker.

Hybrid

This format combines remote and in-person interpretation.  It allows participants to listen to the interpretation both at the location of the event and through a virtual platform.  This format is used when some participants or the interpreters are not present at the event.

Liaison

In certain contexts, such as diplomatic missions or itinerant visits, simultaneous or consecutive interpretation can be provided. The message may be whispered quietly to one person, or via portable equipment for multiple people.
